Salute Military Golf Association (SMGA) Georgia Chapter (“SMGA Georgia,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information from individuals, companies, sponsors, donors, volunteers, event participants, and website visitors.

We may collect information you provide directly, such as:

• Contact Information: name, company/organization, title, email, phone number, mailing address
   
• Sponsorship & Donation Details: sponsorship level, donation amount, payment confirmation details, receipt information
   
• Event & Program Details: registration information, team/player details, participation preferences, accessibility needs (if shared)
   
• Communications: messages you send us by email, website forms, phone, or social media
   
• Website Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device info, pages visited, and basic analytics data
   

Payment Note: If you donate or pay registration fees online, payment processing may be handled by third-party providers (such as Jotform, Eventbrite, PayPal, Stripe, Square, or similar platforms). We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
 

We use information to:

• Process donations, sponsorships, registrations, and issue receipts/acknowledgments
   
• Manage tournament operations (pairings, team lists, event updates, check-in)
   
• Communicate about events, programs, volunteer opportunities, and chapter updates
   
• Deliver sponsor benefits (logos, recognition, signage, marketing materials, and reporting)
   
• Maintain internal records for nonprofit operations, accounting, and compliance
   
• Improve our website, outreach, and supporter experience
   
• Protect SMGA Georgia, our supporters, and the public from fraud or misuse
   

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only when needed to operate the chapter and events, including:

• Service Providers & Tools we use (website hosting, email, forms, accounting, communications, event registration, and payment processing)
   
• Event Operations Partners (e.g., the golf course or event management team) for logistics such as player/team lists, check-in, and scoring
   
• Legal/Compliance needs (if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights and safety)
   

Sponsor and donor recognition may include listing a company name/logo on event materials, social media, websites, signage, or programs—unless you request otherwise.

During SMGA Georgia events, we may take photos and videos for marketing, communications, and fundraising purposes. This may include sponsor signage and participant images. If you have concerns about media use, contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to honor your request.

You may:

• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information (where appropriate)
   
• Opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link (if available) or contacting us
   
• Request that your company name/logo not be publicly recognized (where feasible)
   

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use secure networks and avoid sharing sensitive information by email.

We keep information only as long as necessary for event operations, donor and sponsor relations, accounting, legal compliance, and nonprofit recordkeeping.

Our services are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our site, please contact us so we can address it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
